Does Lean Six Sigma stifle or encourage innovation? A distinguished panel drawn from a range of different industries will explore how and why Six Sigma is increasingly being adopted by Real Estate functions. The debate will however challenge its effectiveness and consider if the price is loss of innovation.

Lisa Bevan is a Senior Continuous Improvement (CI) Specialist with the John Lewis Partnership.  She balances the technical application of Lean Six Sigma methodologies with close partnership with the business to build a self-sustaining culture founded upon scientific thinking and data based decision making. 

Lisa has a decade of experience of deploying Continuous Improvement across several industries, including automotive, technology and financial services.  She is particularly interested in the human dimension of Lean Six Sigma.

Lisa Lundin is an Associate Director in the Business Consulting division of CBRE, where her role involves project management, advising on location strategy and site selection, and providing analytical services, performance evaluation and industry benchmarking. 

Prior to CBRE, Lisa held positions in retail strategy development and continuous improvement at Harley-Davidson Motor Company, employing both Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

Lisa holds a Master’s Degree in Physics and Philosophy from Oxford University, and is a qualified Six Sigma Black Belt and PRINCE2 practitioner. 

Gareth Price is currently a member of the Leadership Team of Shell’s Real Estate organisation in EMEA, with responsibility for portfolio strategy.  Particular areas of focus have been facilities management, organisational design, office fit-out and sale of contaminated land.  Formerly he was a management consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and a construction engineer with the Gleeson Group.

Jaco van Noppen, VP, leads the Real Estate Operational Excellence department (OE) at Shell.  OE is the custodian for the Annual Plan of Shell Real Estate, Business Operations and Corporate Travel.  Jaco is a member of Shell Real Estate Leadership Team in which he supports Real Estate on strategic priorities and program. 

Before Shell, Jaco led the Corporate Real Estate functions at ABN AMRO Bank and Fortis Bank.  Jaco Studied Architecture & Construction and also graduated from Erasmus University Rotterdam, with a Master of Science degree in Business Administration.  He has MBAs from IMD Geneva and INSEAD Fontainebleau. 

Kiyomi Iwamura has worked for GE for the past 15 years both within IT and the Corporate Real Estate organisation including 5 years within a  Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Role.  Kiyomi currently leads the global Real Estate process improvement function dealing with organisational structure enhancement and strategic key transactional projects in Europe.

Kiyomi holds a Real Estate Masters Degree (Distinction) from Cass Business School in London and also holds MIS (Management Information Systems) Degree (Honours) from the University of Arizona, USA.
