The UK Chapter is dedicated to supporting charities and this year’s charity of choice is Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice.

Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice provides care and support for babies, children and young people who have life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, enabling them to live life as fully as possible and achieve their aspirations. Delivering services in north London and Hertsmere, they also support families during their child’s life and help them face the future with hope after the death of their child and throughout bereavement.

A children’s hospice building for North London

Noah’s Ark Building the Ark Appeal is raising the funds required to construct north London’s only children’s hospice building.

Complementing their sector-renowned ‘hospice at home’ and community-based services, a hospice building will allow them to offer a wider breadth of care to more of the 1,169 babies, children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions in their catchment area.

The hospice will be built on a 7.5 acre nature reserve close to Barnet town centre and will provide an inspiring space for relaxation, adventure and for children and their families to connect with others facing similar challenges. It will be a ‘home from home’ for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, where they will be given the time and space to be children and not just patients.

President of the UK Chapter, Philip Cohen, recently visited the site of the first Noah's Ark hospice, being built in Barnet, London.
