Speaker overview:

Penny Mordaunt is an MP, Minister for the Disabled and Royal Navy reservist. Prior to entering the House of Commons she worked in both of George W Bush’s presidential election campaigns. She was Spectator magazine’s Parliamentarian of the Year for 2014 and became the 2nd woman to propose the loyal address in reply to the Queen’s speech from the throne. 

 

Chris Urwin leads the research team at Aviva, overseeing the production of property forecasts and preparation of key strategy and research reports. His team plays a key role in developing investment views of markets and sectors and identifying strategic opportunities for funds across the globe. Chris holds a BA (Econ) in Economics and an MA in Economic History from the University of Manchester. He is also a member of the Society of Property Researchers.

 

Julian Lyon has over 30 year’s property experience. Starting out on the drawing board he moved to letting and investment markets before being heavily involved in specialist plant and equipment, corporate restructuring and insolvency work.  He joined Savills to lead the occupier services activities in EMEA. He’s been involved in the RICS Commercial Board and with FASB and IFRS in the accounting rule changes.
